Republicans must reject fuehrer and save democracy

Democracy is at a watershed point in America.

Democrats seem likely to nominate President Joe Biden, who is too old. Their saving grace would be to follow Franklin D. Roosevelt's example and change his vice president to a strong politician who could truly lead this nation if Biden becomes incapacitated.

Republicans are going with a fascist who has said he will be a dictator on day one to punish people who acted rationally and legally, and afterwards because he will never leave office until he passes away.

If elected, he and the GOP plan to use our military and set up concentration camps for immigrants, then attack other foes such as LGBTQ's, scientists, believers in democracy, anyone who thinks women should control their bodies, etc.

Trump's first response to any type of accountability is to lie.

Joe Biden is 81.Voters should be grateful| Letters

He started lying about the results of the election long before it occurred. He lies about his finances, COVID, his history of sexual predations, the security of our elections, etc.

The Republicans' fuehrer orchestrated a treasonous insurrection.

Trump's legal fees to fight the consequences of his many crimes are an industry all to themselves. Trump openly admires the world's worst fascist - Putin - and invites him to invade Europe.

We have two scenarios that will save democracy: 1. Republicans forsake the GOP's lies/delusions and vote for Biden or 2.

God acts in a miraculous way (and perhaps number 1 would actually be number 2!).

Hitler used the word 'vermin,' too

I am deeply worried about our country and heartbroken that good people support, for president, someone who is dishonest, hateful, and who puts himself above the country — and all others. John Bolton who worked for Donald Trump said that he never once saw Trump put the country first.

Trump calls his "enemies" vermin, implying that they are not worthy of human dignity and protection. Vermin is the same word that Hitler used.

Saying that the blood of America has been poisoned, is similar to Nazi Germany. When Christians, who are supposed to be the face of Jesus, support this hate and his lies, what kind of Christianity do people see? How can the hate of Trump advance the cause of Christ?

I sometimes feel sorry for Trump because he is so pathetic but fear him because he is so dangerous.

Trump said that the alleged election fraud "allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution."

If Trump is reelected, he will be thirsty for revenge, thinking that he must live under no law or Constitution, except for his own.

Is this what a Trump supporter really wants?

Maintain your medication

As spring break approaches, many families gear up for fun and relaxation.

For children with chronic conditions such as epilepsy, however, this period presents unique challenges.

While enjoying this time is crucial, maintaining a consistent medication routine is equally important. Changes in routine during school breaks can disrupt medication schedules, increasing the risk of seizures.

Therefore, parents of children with epilepsy need to be particularly mindful of medication adherence during spring break.

As a pediatrician, I encourage anyone with chronic conditions to continue to maintain a daily medication schedule. Don’t let changes in your routine disrupt your health.
